Dr. Shamsul Hassan is working as Postdoc Researcher at Silicon Photonics Centre of Excellence- CPPICS, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras, India. Prior to this, he completed Ph.D. in Photonics from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College, and B.Tech. in ECE from West Bengal University of Technology Kolkata. His area of research includes Silicon Photonics, Programmable Photonic Integrated Circuits and Quantum Computing. In CPPICS IIT Madras, he is working in silicon photonic chip based Quantum random number generation and Photonics Packaging. He is an Early career member of SPIE, OPTICA (OSA)and IEEE, and Member of IETE.
