Analyzed the current status of automotive waste heat utilization technology, mainly including two methods: engine waste heat refrigeration technology and engine waste heat power generation technology. Refrigeration technology is mainly achieved through three technologies: absorption refrigeration, adsorption refrigeration, and jet refrigeration. Power generation technology is mainly achieved through three technologies: semiconductor temperature difference power generation, turbine power generation, and Rankine cycle waste heat power generation, and analyzed the basic working principles of various technologies. And a comparison was made between the system parameters and structural characteristics of waste heat refrigeration technology and waste heat power generation technology, while a simple analysis was conducted on the technical requirements of the system structure. Finally, based on the common problems of the two technologies, key technologies to promote the development of waste heat utilization were proposed.
