Based on the ADCIRC (ADvanced CIRCulation Model for Oceanic, Coastal and Estuarine Waters) hydrodynamic ocean model, a numerical storm surge model suitable for the Yangtze estuary was established in this paper. The astronomical tide and storm surge increase in the Yangtze River estuary during Typhoon Chan-hom 1509 was simulated and verified. From the aspect of disaster, this paper selects the coastal area of the Yangtze Estuary-Pudong New Area of Shanghai, and uses ARCGIS spatial analysis to simulate the inundation situation of this area under the scenario of sea level rise, and evaluates the typhoon storm surge disaster of Pudong New Area. The results show that the simulation results of astronomical tide and storm water increase before and after typhoon landfall are good. It also has a good description of the inundation disaster under the scenario of sea level rise.
