Profile Summary

Dr. Maik Frede, Co-Founder and CEO of neoLASE has about 20 years’ experience in laser development. He was group leader of the solid state photonics group at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. and finished his Phd. work about lasers for gravitational wave detection at Leibniz University Hannover. For his work in the area of gravitational wave detection he received the Special Breakthrough Prize In Fundamental Physics, the OSA’s Paul F. Forman Team Engineering Excellence Award and the Gruber Cosmology Prize.
neoLASE is an innovative laser manufacturer providing industrial and scientific solutions from continuous wave down to femtosecond pulse durations. The modular photonics platform enables precision laser cutting, welding or drilling applications with the highest degree of flexibility.
