The setting of traffic safety facilities is closely related to the driver's driving safety and comfort. How to set up traffic safety facilities reasonably and effectively is very important to reduce the driving safety risk. Based on the analysis of the basic setting principle of traffic signs in traffic safety facilities, this paper compares and analyzes the bridge and tunnel influence area of two sections (Zhuhai Port Section and Hong Kong Port Section) for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge according to the traffic signs setting standards of China and BS respectively, then finds that there are some differences in traffic sign setting between Mainland and Hong Kong sections. As to the setting of traffic signs, the words layout for the Mainland section and the color chosen for the Hong Kong section are more reasonable, but the number of traffic signs and information close to the tunnel entrance of the Hong Kong section are overloaded. Through comparative analysis and research, some suggestions are put forward to provide reference for the rationality and refinement of traffic signs in China.
