Basanta Bhaduri is currently working as a Sr. Staff Optical Engineer at Bruker Nano Surfaces, CA. He obtained his PhD in Physics (Applied Optics) in 2007 from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. He was also an assistant professor in Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad for 3 years, postdoctoral research fellow in the Dept. of Mechnical and Aerospace Engineering, Monash University, Australia for 1 year and in the Dept. of Mechnaical Engineering, National University of Singapore for 2 years and Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Physics, Indian Institute Space Science and Technology (IIST), Trivandrum, India for 1 year. He is a member of SPIE and OSA. He has contributed 55 papers in international journals and a book chapter.
