Abstract
Electric field enhancement area of the present SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering) based on the hot spot is very small, the Raman signal of the detected molecules only can be enhanced with the need of absorbing the molecules into the hot spots. SERS substrate based on the metal sinusoidal grating with LREFE (Large-Range Electric Field Enhancement) characteristics was proposed. It can detect the Raman signal of the molecules with no need of absorbing the molecules into the hot spots. The LREFE characteristics of the metal grating was verified with FDTD. A reliable AgSG (Ag Sinusoidal grating) SERS substrate is prepared and its SERS detection performance of gaseous trace TNT is verified in the experiments.
