I am a PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, working on the data processing pipeline of the Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager on-board the Solar Orbiter. My research focuses on enabling more extensive on-board data processing and on-board instrument calibration without human supervision on the limited resources that a space instrument ensures.
For my work on PHI I have been awarded the Amelia Earhart Fellowship from Zonta International.
Prior to starting my PhD work I have been a Young Graduate Trainee at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) of the European Space Agency (ESA), working with Time Triggered Ethernet for on-board data handling systems. I have a Master of Science degree in Spacecraft Design, obtained at the Luleå University of Technology, in Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Timisoara, in Romania.
