In order to solve the problem of wall plate deformation of 100,000 cubic meters external floating roof crude oil tank in a commercial reserve oil depot, the whole cycle deformation of the tank wall was detected by 3D laser scanning detection system, and the tank wall structure shape based on high-precision point cloud data was obtained. The full-scale finite element model of the tank wall structure is established by using the general finite element analysis software ANSYS.The 3D scanning inspection data are used as the initial geometric deformation of the tank wall for nonlinear buckling analysis. The safety performance evaluation of the deformed tank wall structure is carried out from the aspects of the tank wall stiffness and stability, and the operation and maintenance suggestions are put forward.
