Profile Summary

I'm Head of the Canadian Gemini Office. These are twin 8-m class optical/near-infrared telescopes, in premier locations on Maunakea, Hawai'i and Cerro Pachon, in Chile. My research focus is high-resolution astronomical imaging, particularly for studies of galaxy evolution, quasars and observational cosmology. This makes use of adaptive optics on such large ground-based telescopes, along with data taken from space, and involving the characterization of instrument performance and site testing.
