Andrew van der Byl is a signal processing engineer at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO). He received his Ph.D from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2012. His research interests include signal and image processing, machine learning and RFID. Prior to SARAO, he held research positions at the University of Cape Town, and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
