This article [Opt. Eng. 50, 114202 (2011)] was originally published on 14 November 2011 with an error in a molecular formula. The formula was originally written Yb:LuY2SiO5, and has been corrected to read Yb:LuYSiO5 in the title, abstract, keywords, and body.

The author biographies have also been corrected.

This article was corrected online on 30 November 2011. It appears correctly in print.
