Abstract
The incident angle of solar beams, an angle between the solar rays and a line perpendicular to the receiving surface, is the most important measure of the intensity of total sun radiation reaching a terrestrial surface. The equations for calculating the incident angle are cited in this article, and the importance and uses of this knowledge are discussed. A nomograph that allows calculation of the incident angle in a few seconds is included.
