Speckle in Certain Nonimaging Applications
Abstract
The speckle problems examined so far have arisen in imaging applications. In this chapter, attention is turned to certain applications in which obtaining an image is not the primary goal. First, speckle in multimode optical fibers is considered. Next, the effects of speckle on the performance of optical radars are analyzed. Finally, a spectrometer based on speckle is described.
