Abstract
Optical metasurfaces consist of planar subwavelength nanoantenna arrays that offer singular ability to sculpt wavefront in almost arbitrary manners. They are thereby poised to become a powerful tool enabling compact and high-performance optics. Multifunctional metasurfaces, whose optical responses vary according to the operation conditions, further allow a plurality of new functionalities unattainable with traditional optical systems. In this talk, we discuss the development of multifunctional meta-optics and demonstrations in imaging and sensing applications.
