Abstract
Optoelectronic electric field sensor (OEFS) is an important device for intensive electric field measurement. Relative humidity (RH) poses important impact on the stability of OEFS. To study thoroughly how RH influences OEFS’s stability and find solutions to avoid the influence is significant. In this paper, an experimental system to study how RH influences OEFS’s stability was built. A series of experiments showed high humidity affected the low frequency response of the sensor- amplitude attenuation and phase shift. The analysis of the results showed that the water film were the key influence factors of the RH stability of OEFS and hydrophobic treatment of the shell could improve the stability of the sensor from the effect of RH. Further experiments verified its correction.
