Abstract
We developed a Matlab based procedure for tracking phase singularities in optical fields. It visualises the motion of the singularities and quantifies their charges while the wave field propagates. We will explain how this procedure works and present some singularity trajectories calculated by this method. It will turn out that this procedure might be very useful for investigating the behaviour of phase singularities.
