Abstract
To alleviate the road congestion caused by parking in urban CBD, Parking Guidance and Information System (PGIS) is paid more attention to many cities in China. It can provide effective parking information (such as the location and utilization of parking lots, the routes, the traffic situation around the parking lots) to drivers through many ways, so as to guide them to park successfully. In the paper, PGIS constructing in Shanghai Xujiahui area is taken as the background, methods and models about urban PGIS planning and design are discussed from the angle of traffic function. Fuzzy AHP is used to select parking lots which can be brought into PGIS. The principle and method of zoning guidance service range are established, the principle of information classification and guidance method of three levels are introduced. Finally, the detailed content of PGI signs is given.
