Abstract
An analytic method based on Mueller matrix formalism and the Poincaré sphere is used to evaluate the birefringence dispersion in hexagonal photonic fibers with circular air-holes when the hexagonal symmetry is modified. This evaluation has been performed in the wavelength range from 1520 to 1570 nm, using monochromatic signals.
