Abstract
Photonic integration technologies, which have been developed since the deployment of optical communication, are essential for increasing network capacity at a low cost and with efficient power consumption. This paper reviews recent progress on photonic integrated devices for 100G-class long-distance transmission technologies with advanced modulation formats.
