Abstract
A kind of Hash algorithm is put forward to improve the speed of network bridge address lookup. A Hash function is introduced to realize the Hash algorithm; the function's efficiency in bridge is also analyzed. How to maintain bridge based on Hash algorithm is also discussed in detail, including source address self-study, source address overdue monitor and destination address filtering. With application of address overdue flag and address active flag, the efficiency to maintain address is improved and hardware resource is saved.
