Abstract
The VIIRS instrument has a polarization sensitivity requirement. There is also a requirement that the instrument's polarization sensitivity and associated phase be measured and the uncertainties in the measured results meet requirements. Performing these measurements is conceptually straight forward. However real world complications associated with test equipment and polarization models do arise and are discussed in this paper.
