Abstract
This paper introduce a new method for rapid extracting the planar features by integrating their point cloud and digital images, the method is more efficient than any planar feature extracting methods based on one of the both type data and can get the accurate 3D object boundaries. The main idea and the basic data processing flow about the presented method are discussed in detail, and a test with the data of a building side face is employed to analyzing the efficiency and the accuracy of the presented method. Some conclusions and future work are given in the last section.
