Abstract
We report experimental results when pumping with up to three different wavelengths a fluorozirconate TM3+-doped fiber. The wavelengths involved are the Nd:YAG line at 1.06 micrometer and two Stokes-components at around 1.117 micrometer, and 1.17 micrometer. Side light fluorescence (SLF) and end light fluorescence (ELF) in the blue, red, and NIR are analyzed when different proportions among the pumping bands are used. It is demonstrated that blue fluorescence emission is more efficient by pumping simultaneously with two Stokes components instead of pumping by only one.
