Abstract
An optical current sensing system for simultaneous measurement of electrical current and temperature is proposed and constructed. The system consists of two channels in which two sensing elements with different temperature dependence of Verdet constant were used for current measurement and the ratio between the output signals of these two channels was used for temperature measurement. The principle of the sensing configuration is described and experimental results are given.
