Abstract

What follows is a description of the hypersonic acoustic wave velocity measurements in the LiTaO₃ crystal. Before the measurements calculations of the velocity, frequency and state of the acoustic wave polarization were performed. For the calculation ultrasonic data were used. A comparison with current hypersonic results shows a dispersion in the velocity of the acoustic waves.
