6 August 1998 Experimental investigation of temperature-induced Bragg wavelength shift in UV-written fiber Bragg grating

Abstract
Shift of Bragg wavelength of UV written fiber gratings due to changes in temperature of the host B/Ge co-doped fiber is studied experimentally in this paper. and thc experimental results are very well fitted by linear functions. The results are coincidence with the theoretical analysis. Farther more, it is discovered that Bragg wavelength of the fiber grating is pcrmanentl shifted to the shorter side of its original position after annealing at relatively higher temperature. and this result is well explained by the color-center model for optical fiber photosensitivity.
