Abstract
Within the last few years there has been an increasing interest in materials exhibiting non- linear optical effects. Various semiconductors and crystals are known for large non-linear coefficients but the intense search for more efficient and cost-effective materials has led to organic polymers and semiconductor-doped glasses. We describe the fabrication of semiconductor-doped aluminophosphatic glasses and their absorption spectra.
