Abstract
This paper surveys a variety of knowledge representation schemes and robot design architectures, including Hierarchical, Feedback-Based, Object Oriented, Process Oriented, Rule-Based and Subsumption. Robot hardware and software issues are discussed using several examples, in particular the 'Go-Fetch' robot is analyzed.
