Abstract
Rapid advancements in munitions and munitions delivery systems have created test scenarios that place extraordinary requirements on data collection with traditional sensor systems. The inability of sensor and data systems to keep pace with munitions development has spurred recent developmental activity in the area of electronic and optical sensor systems with real- time data collection and processing capabilities keyed to live munitions systems testing. The Vitro Services Corporation optical tracking system (OTS) provides multiple electro-optical sensors mounted on remotely controlled, highly mobile platforms linked to data processing shelters. This paper presents an overview of the OTS subsystems designed and fabricated by Vitro Services Corporation and a sampling of test results achieved in its operational configuration.
