Abstract
The shadow moiré and reflection moiré are revisited using computer generated gratings written on a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel. These gratings have the ability to rapidly and easily vary their pitch and thus their sensitivity. Further, the ability to precisely shift the gratings enables rapid image processing algorithms to be designed for enhancement of the fringes, as well as provides means for quantification using phase shifting algorithms.
