Abstract
The use of excimer lasers for patterning flexible materials such as polyethylene/non-woven in sheets is reported. This technique is compared with two widely used non-laser techniques -- rotary dies and water jet. Excimer laser processing parameters, e.g., laser wavelength, power density, etc., will be discussed in relation to the final cut quality.
