Abstract
Efficient port coordination is crucial, particularly in coastal inland river ports, where optimizing river-sea intermodal transport scheduling is a primary focus. This study delves into port and waterway dynamics, analyzing factors such as berth preferences, vessel inspections, and planning periods that impact ship schedules. We propose an advanced NSGA-III algorithm to minimize berth deviation costs and scheduling time while maximizing berth utilization. An evaluation using a seven-day dataset from coastal inland river ports shows that NSGA-III outperforms NSGA-II and the original scheme by 30.81%, 13.73%, and 12.11% in objective values, respectively.
