Abstract
Beam quality measurement based on Transport-of-Intensity Equation (TIE) phase retrieval algorithm has been conducted. The scattered light spots of about 200 mm diameter fundamental mode Gaussian beam/hybrid mode Hermite-Gaussian beam after diffusion are generated and the distribution of complex amplitude is calculated by phase retrieval algorithm based on Transport-of-Intensity Equation (TIE). Through evaluating the accuracy of beam diameter, M2 factor and β factor, the applicability to TIE algorithm of three speckle suppression techniques including frequency domain filtering, space domain filtering and vibrating diffusive reflector are compared. By space domain filtering, the minimal error of M2 factor and β factor for fundamental mode are 0.48% and 24.96%, for hybrid mode are 19.62% and 6.21%; by either frequency domain filtering or vibrating diffusive reflector, the minimal error of M2 factor and β factor for fundamental mode are under 5%. And vibrating diffusive reflector can improve accuracy and robustness of algorithm without truth-value for reference. Results show that frequency domain filtering and vibrating diffusive reflector can effectively suppress speckle and improve phase retrieval accuracy, and vibrating diffusive reflector has better performance and practicability.
