Abstract
This paper aims at the problem of large amount of data and high requirement of signal transmission and processing ability of new radar. Based on the analysis of radar signal characteristics, a quasi-lossless compression algorithm of radar video data is developed based on wavelet transform, and the algorithm is tested on DSP platform. The test results show that the radar data processed based on this algorithm has low processing delay, good signal fidelity, high compression ratio, and achieves a good balance between maintaining signal integrity and reducing data volume, which has high engineering application value.
