Abstract
Partial discharge was the main cause and an important characteristic of insulation deterioration. At present, GIS partial discharge measurement means were single, the partial discharge characterization data obtained was not comprehensive, and the electrical and optical joint sensing information in the development process of GIS basin insulator discharge was lacking, resulting in misdiagnosis of insulation fault and high missed diagnosis rate. In this article, photoelectric joint measurement system for GIS basin insulator typical discharge defects was designed, which consisted of a power frequency pressurization system, a basin insulator sample model, a partial discharge electrical measurement system and a partial discharge optical measurement system. And the system could carry out the partial discharge test of the true basin insulator, completely measured the optical and electrical signals in the whole process of the development of typical discharge defects. Besides, it also could verify the consistency and feasibility of the photoelectric joint detection results by analyzing the phase distribution characteristics of each spectrum. Photoelectric joint detection provided data for the assessment of the severity of typical partial discharge defects, and the division of development process.
