In opportunistic networks, the randomness of node mobility can significantly reduce the success rate of data delivery, while the buffer congestion of forwarding node can also cause network performance degradation. Considering above two issues, we design and implement a novel routing algorithm based on probability prediction (NRPP) for mobile opportunistic networks. NRPP is an improvement on the basis of ONRWF (our previous work), which can decide next hop routing by the improved variance probabilistic formula. Meanwhile, the proposed multicast RTS-CTS handshaking probing approach and efficient scheduling based on data priority which can significantly improve the success rate of data delivery. Finally, a test-bed is set up to validate the results in real scenarios. Experiment results demonstrate excellent performance of message delivery for opportunistic networks.
