Abstract
Traditional positioning methods are difficult to meet the requirements of indoor positioning accuracy and power consumption, UWB technology is gradually popular because of its strong penetration and anti-interference ability in indoor environment. This paper describes a set of low-power indoor positioning system based on UWB, which mainly includes positioning tags, positioning stations, positioning engine and front-end monitor. It generally introduces the whole positioning process and the design of each module. In particular, it describes how to realize the control of power consumption of the tags, the setting of distance between the stations and the working mode of the positioning engine. Compared with the traditional positioning means, the design is more suitable for indoor environment. The engineering test proves that the design has good application effect, both in power consumption control and in the actual positioning accuracy.
