Abstract
The numerical simulation technology is mainly through the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method, which can quickly and accurately simulate the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle at a specific speed, such as air resistance Cd, downforce Cl, etc. These simulation results can provide important references for automotive design and optimization, reduce trial and error costs, and improve automotive design efficiency. In this paper, CATIA software is used to design the simplified three-dimensional model of the car. Based on the basic theory of fluid mechanics, AnsysWorkbench software is used to analyze the aerodynamic simulation of the car in driving process. The data on resistance and downforce are obtained and analyzed for reference by car design department.
