Abstract

The study investigates the role of ethical leadership and collective moral identity in the relationship among employees' formal training and green performance in the pharmaceutical sector of Islamabad, Pakistan. We propose a conceptual model based on, ethical leadership, moral identity and formal training to structure a multilevel review on green performance outcome. For the quantitative investigation, primary data is collected through questionnaires. Purposive sampling is employed for data obtained from employees of five pharmaceutical companies. A total of 400 forms were sent out, and the 349 responses that were considered valid are being examined. Statistical findings of the SEM model reveal that formal employee training significantly influences green performance. Further assessment reveals that formal employee training with collective moral identity is positively associated with green performance. Likewise, moral identity significantly contributes to green performance. Ethical leadership moderates the final assessment's relationship among formal employee training and collective moral identity. Overall findings suggest that formal training, ethical leadership, and collective moral identity significantly influence green performance. As well as ethical leadership moderates the intervening relationship of collective moral identity in the relationship among formal employee training and green performance.
