Abstract
The Xiangjiang River is the largest river in Hunan, and its water quality is crucial to Hunan's social and economic development. Although some scholars have conducted water quality assessments on the Xiangjiang River, these water quality evaluations are based on a certain section or time point, and do not analyze the Xiangjiang River Basin from the perspective of the overall situation and long-term period. To this end, by selecting the water quality monitoring data of 8 water quality monitoring stations in Xiangjiang River from 2021 to 2022, the data set was constructed. The water quality evaluation method was carried out by using the single-factor evaluation method. The Mann-Kendall trend test method and cluster analysis method, combined with GIS and DEM, were used to analyze the water quality changes of the entire Xiangjiang River in 2021-2022 from the perspective of time and space. The test results show that the overall water environment quality of the Xiangjiang River Basin is excellent, and the annual and quarterly water quality evaluation results are above Class III. The concentration of NH3N and TP in spring and summer are generally higher than that in autumn and winter. After hierarchical cluster analysis, it can be seen that the water quality of April to August in the Xiangjiang River Basin is worse than that of other months, and the water quality of Zhangshugang and Xingang stations is worse than that of other stations.
