Abstract

A necessary condition for a pair of plane stochastic tensors (C₁ C₂, ) to have a common C-eigenpair as their piezoelectric tensor is given. If the fourth-order tensor which is determined by (C₁ C₂, ) has a Z-eigenpair, the Z-eigenpair is dependent on the common C-eigenpair, then (C₁C₂,) has a common C-eigenpair.
