Abstract
In order to evaluate the performance of the aircraft cargo compartment smoke detection system, this paper uses the method of artificial simulation of smoke and the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) to study the alarm time of the smoke detection system and the propagation characteristics of smoke in the cargo compartment. The flow of smoke and heat transport from fires is simulated by large-eddy simulation (LES) method with an emphasis on smoke and heat transport from fires and the simulation result is consistent with the test result.
