Abstract
In view of the problems of repeated modeling and low efficiency in the three-dimensional modeling of different types of drum brakes, this paper uses Visual Basic and ANSYS Parametric Design language command flow of ANSYS to develop the software interface program of the drum brake parametric modeling system. First of all, the three-dimensional modeling program of the drum brake is compiled by APDL command of ANSYS, and its geometric model is established to conduct mesh generation and component operation. It is the preparatory work for statics analysis, harmonic response analysis, and topology optimization in ANSYS. The research results show that the drum brake parametric modeling system developed in this paper can reduce the labor intensity of the drum brake designer and reduce the professional quality requirements of the designer on the finite element simulation software, so it is of great significance.
