Abstract
Piston rod is a typical slender shaft part. In order to improve machining quality, reverse turning is preferred according to production experience. In order to provide the theoretical basis for the reverse turning of the slender shaft and quantify the processing quality, the results show that the reverse turning of the slender shaft is about 5 %-10 % higher than that of the process parameters.
