Abstract
Aiming at the new requirements of MWIR (Medium Wave Infrared) photoelectric equipment for infrared continuous zoom system, such as large zoom ratio, light weight and fast switching, a new type of continuous zoom optical system with three-component structure is designed based on 1280×1024 MWIR staring focal plane array detector. The working band is 3.7μm~4.8μm, the relative aperture is F/4, and the entire zoom range of focal length is 19mm~760mm. By using three-component design, the optical system achieves 40 x zoom range in a relatively compact space. At the same time, a new focusing scheme is adopted, which realizes the focusing and continuous clear imaging of WFOV (wide field of view) and NFOV (narrow field of view) at the same distance. The MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) of the optical system is close to the diffraction limit, the zoom curves are smooth, the moving stroke of each moving lens group is short, and the entire zoom process can be switched within six seconds. It can meet 100% cold stop efficiency and has good imaging quality in the temperature range of -40°C ~70°C . It has the advantages of large zoom ratio, compact size, fast switching time, high resolution and good focusing consistency.
