Abstract
The bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (BMMSCs) play a crucial role in the progression of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). However, the epigenetic landscape of AML patients' BMMSCs is currently not well understood. This paper reviewed the relationship between aberrant DNA methylation in BMMSCs and the development of AML based on the studies conducted by Roux and colleagues. The abnormal DNA methylation may represent a novel access point for AML, but it should be confirmed by additional research. This paper also provides suggestions for further research in this field.
