Abstract

Following by life and work with enormous variation, myopic incidence has increased at an incredible rate. Then, the understanding of myopia become an urgent project. In the decades of studying mechanism and treatment, it is making some progress in myopic onset and progression. After the progress, it is known that what is known about myopia is not far enough. The influencing factors can be generally divided into genetic and environmental factors. And, the treatment for myopia is composited by optics, pharmacology and surgery. This review summarized the latest progress and new presenting problems in the mechanism and treatment of myopia since the 20th century. This concise paper provides a brief blueprint for the future study of myopia.
