Abstract
Acoustic emission (AE) technology is widely used in corrosion inspection of atmospheric tank bottom. However, in view of the problems of missed inspection and inaccurate location in the process of bottom plate leakage detection, combined with out-of-service inspection, an AE detection and verification method suitable for atmospheric tank bottom leakage is proposed, and the specific process flow is specified. Taking the oil spill from the leak detection hole of a petrochemical company's storage tank foundation as an example, AE detection was carried out on the storage tank, and the suspected leakage position of the storage tank bottom was determined. After the tank was opened, magnetic flux leakage (MFL) detection was carried out on the base material of the storage tank bottom in this area, and field gradient and high intensity magnetic scanning technology (FGI) was carried out on the welding seam, so as to determine the leakage position. According to the corrosion situation in the tank and the settlement inspection results, it is analyzed that the leakage is caused by corrosion perforation of the tank bottom under the action of sedimentary water.
