Abstract
In order to meet the requirement that the busbars can continue operating without shutting down during GIS extension and voltage withstand tests,a new technology called double-fracture disconnecting switch is introduced in this paper. Firstly, this paper introduces the structure and working principle of the double fracture disconnecting switch. And then comparing with the traditional bus isolating switch, characteristics of double fracture isolating switch are summarized. It has many advantages in security, universality, economy and other aspects. Finally, a 220kV substation is taken as an example to introduce the specific implementation scheme of its application and verify the application value of this type of equipment in the substation.
